Health & Safety Commitments

As an in-person attendee, your safety is our top priority. We have developed the following guidelines based on CDC-recommended practices, in consultation with  the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel and the IAFC Advisory Group. We require that attendees strictly adhere to all guidance in order to make our 2022 event safe, secure, and enjoyable for all.

Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC recommends that people get fully vaccinated. Per the CDC, vaccines are safe and highly effective at protecting people from severe COVID-19. Getting fully vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you. The CDC still recommends prevention measures for unvaccinated people. For more information see www.cdc.gov.

Safety guidelines below are subject to change at any time based on federal, state, and local regulations. We ask that in-person attendees follow all safety instructions provided by the International Association of Fire Chiefs' staff at all times, and that you do not attend any in-person event if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness.

COVID-19 Requirements in Canada

At this time, you must qualify as a fully vaccinated traveler to attend events in Canada. We encourage all prospective attendees to review the current requirements on entry to Canada. Answer a few short questions here to determine your eligibility.

As of April 1, 2022, pre-entry tests are no longer required for fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada by land, air or water. You must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada.

Currently, the cities of Toronto and Richmond Hill do not have mask mandates in place, however, masks may still be required on public transit, rideshares, and other settings. Please be aware of these local guidelines and be prepared to wear face coverings when required.
