Health & Safety Commitment

As an in-person attendee, your safety is our top priority. We have developed the following guidelines based on CDC-recommended practices, in consultation with the Nevada Health Response, the Peppermill Reno Resort, and the IAFC Advisory Group. We require that attendees strictly adhere to all guidance in order to make our 2022 event safe, secure, and enjoyable for all.

Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC recommends that people get fully vaccinated and boosted. Per the CDC, vaccines are safe and highly effective at protecting people from severe COVID-19. Getting fully vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you. The CDC still recommends prevention measures for unvaccinated people. For more information see www.cdc.gov.

Safety guidelines below are subject to change at any time based on federal, state, and local regulations. We ask that in-person attendees follow all safety instructions provided by the International Association of Fire Chiefs' staff at all times, and that you do not attend any in-person event if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness.

MASK POLICY

Per the State of Nevada and Washoe County, masks are no longer required inside public places.  Federally, masks are still mandated in airports, on planes and on public transportation.  More Nevada State-wide mask information can be found here.

The IAFC will have masks available at the event for participants, if desired.
