Health & Safety Commitment

As an in-person attendee, your safety is our top priority. We have developed the following guidelines based on CDC-recommended practices, in consultation with local entities and the IAFC Advisory Group. We require that attendees strictly adhere to all guidance in order to make our 2022 event safe, secure, and enjoyable for all.

Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC recommends that people get fully vaccinated and boosted. Per the CDC, vaccines are safe and highly effective at protecting people from severe COVID-19. Getting fully vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you. The CDC still recommends prevention measures for unvaccinated people. For more information see www.cdc.gov.

Safety guidelines below are subject to change at any time based on federal, state, and local regulations. We ask that in-person attendees follow all safety instructions provided by the International Association of Fire Chiefs' staff at all times, and that you do not attend any in-person event if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of illness.

Mask Policy

Per Pinellas County, masks are no longer required indoors.  Unvaccinated personnel and those at risk of severe COVID-19 infections – older adults, immunocompromised, and children not yet eligible for vaccination – are strongly encouraged to wear a face mask indoors.

The IAFC will have masks available at the show for participants, if desired.

Discrimination & Harassment Policy
The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) has zero-tolerance for discrimination and all forms of harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment. This zero-tolerance policy means that no form of discriminatory or harassing conduct by or toward any IAFC member, exhibitor, presenter, attendee or staff member will be tolerated.

The IAFC is committed to enforcing its policy at all levels within the association and at any IAFC meeting. Any person who engages in discrimination or harassment will be subject to discipline and possible removal from conference premises. If you feel that you have been harassed by any person(s), immediately contact the IAFC at 703-273-0911 or admin@iafc.org or, if on location at an IAFC conference, go to the registration desk and ask to speak to the onsite conference manager.
