Submissions are for the 2024 FRI Conference being held in Dallas, Texas, August 14-16, 2024, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Session dates and times will be confirmed when instructors are notified of their acceptance status.
Submission Guidelines: Interested instructors are requested to submit the following:
- A workshop proposal outlining the topic:
- Workshop title
- Presentation description (approximately 50 words) and alignment the presentation with the specific ODP level and course ULOs.
- A brief bio highlighting your qualifications and relevant experience to proposal topic.
- Current resume with recent related industry presentations
- Contact information for further correspondence.
Deadline for Submission: All workshop proposals must be submitted by April 1st, 2024.
Selection Process: Submissions will be reviewed by our panel of experts to ensure alignment with the IAFC's Officer Development Program Unit Learning Outcomes (ULOs) for Company Officers, Chief Officers, and Executive Chief Officers, as well as relevance to the fire service and community health interface.
Notification of Acceptance: Selected instructors will be notified in early April, and provided with additional details regarding workshop delivery.
- If selected to present, a copy of your presentation will be required in a PDF format to be submitted to the IAFC.
Workshop Delivery: Workshops will be scheduled as part of the Officer Development Program, and instructors will be expected to deliver their sessions as per the program schedule.
Benefits for Instructors: Instructors selected to lead workshops will receive recognition as industry experts, an opportunity to contribute to the development of future fire service leaders, and networking opportunities within the IAFC community.
